I put this thread in the medical conspiracy area because I feel it is a conspiracy. We are told to eat more veggies and I want to tell people more truth about this subject, so I am going to start a thread. I have spent years now researching things and trying to remember what people told me over the years. I researched a lot of what they were saying, they did not know why, only that there was something they had been told.
I'll give you some examples, I am not going to tell you the good, that you can find in the fad nutrition people are parrotting around. I am just going to explain some of the properties of food that can cause problems for some, not all, people and it may someday be you who has this problem and you should be aware of things. Do not fear foods, but learn a little about the properties and the proper way to prepare them.
Some foods cause agglutination of all people, our bodies can take care of some of it and that depends on the amount of enzymes we can create. If you jump start a change in diet, the body has to switch over and start to produce different enzymes, that can take a while, up to three weeks some times if it is a major change. It is better to diversify your diet to keep smaller amounts of many enzymes in production and eat moderate amounts of foods you know are not a problem for you. That way the body does not have to jump way over by a rapid change in diet. Buffer changes into the diet, do not just start eating a lot of something because it is being touted as a superfood. No matter what, based on genetics, people can only make so much of some enzymes based on their ancestors diet. A diet that was supposed to be taught to the young every generation to be healthy and strong.
Here is a good starting article, do not fear anything, just try to understand what this says. If you are eating supposedly healthy foods and find yourself starting to go downhill, then you need to see this. Sometimes it takes months for a problem to show up because of the factors in this article, you will not realize that the new problem is caused by a deficiency created by a change six months ago. This is important to everyone, some of this chemistry can be cancelled out by cooking long enough, some can't. If you eat green beans, it is important to cook them well. A few Raw ones won't hurt, but eating twenty of them raw might cause a clot capable of causing a stroke if your body hasn't enough enzymes to detox the chemistry.
This is a little explanation of what the blood type diet was created about. That blood type diet is real, but you can also cancel out some of the negative effects by proper cooking, moderation and slow integration into your diet, and breaking the agglutination problem bu using chemistry that dampens or stops agglutination. This is found in things like aspirin or salicylicates in foods and also in theols found in onions and garlic and certain kinds of foods and even supplements. If people mess up and have a stroke, they give you pills to do this, but that chemistry is found in nature, no pills needed. But if you eat too much celery to get the coumerins, remember, just like coumadin you must not go out in the sun too much. Also, these foods can be problematic to people who do not have proper agglutination, too much can stop blood clotting when you get cut and also can dampen your immune response because agglutination is used by our immune system too. This article about courmarin above shows the blood thinning ability of some berries, that is true, but some veggies also have this property. Salcilicates are another compound found in cucumbers in substantial amounts, a snall percebtage if people who cannot take aspirin because of Reyes syndrome can't eat cucumbers. The skin of an apple and some fruits also have considerable amounts of salcilicates in them. The third way to dampen agglutination is to just put onions on your hamburger if you are at more risk of a problem with it. Or add garlic salt to your steak when it is on the grill. The properties of thiols is pretty much heat stable, and thiols also can help us to detox cyanide in our bodies. But thiols can be a problem for some people who do not have enough molybdenum in their diet to make the enzyme to detox them. Onions are a seed, they do often contain some molybdenum, seeds seem to have it, but if it is bound by phytates or phytic acid, it might not be absorbed.
Type A and B blood make less stomach acid to free up nutrients. Type AB actually make the least stomach acid, they need to stimulate it's production and also the production of the deacitifying agent which is sodium bicarbonate from the bile. Salt supplies the chloride for the HCL and the sodium combines with carbonate in the liver. You cannot just take baking soda, that won't work, it will just bottleneck things most time as it actually neutralizes stomach acid but boosts bile base which can also screw things up.
So, either increasing molybdenum foods in the diet or taking a small supplement can help to make some people healthier who have limited amounts of the Molybdenum coenzyme they can make. Whole grains have molybdenum but also lots of phytates and phytic acid which bounds them from being absorbed. All plants utilize sulfur and nitrogen enzymes based on molybdenum, but where that molybdenum is found is important, it is often concentrated in parts of the food we do not eat. Wheat Germ has decent amounts in it, the germ is removed from white flour, and the germ has lots of phytates and lectins too, so unless prepared properly it is not a good source of the mineral. The bran has bound molybdenum, if you can't free it from the bran, then it passes straight through, that protects us from the lectins somewhat as they are bound too, but also makes it hard to get nutrients if you do not make much amylase to unbind it from the phytates. It can also cause beezoars to form if you do not make enough amylase. there is a test where you chew a cracker to test how long it takes for amylase to form in saliva, but amylase is also created in the liver. It is the enzyme that disolves fiber.
So this agglutination regulation is important in our bodies, nobody wants blood clots or strokes. If you go too far the other way, then your veins get too soft. A balancing act is needed when adjusting the diet to accomodate this and to keep in balance. My mother got a stroke when she was around fifty seven, it was a great inconvenience for her being mostly paralyzed on her right side, I would prefer if others were aware of how to lessen their risk.
Another thing, when making dried kidney beans and navy beans, make sure to soak them for eight hours, then dump the water and add new and boil them for a half hour. Then you can drain them and put them in your crock pot, putting soaked beans in the crock pot without boiling them actually increases blood clot risk. The boiling temperature in water takes away most of that problem and the chemical that causes agglutination does not become nearly as much of a problem after that.
Plant defense system chemicals make good medicine, but can also be a problem if you do not use them at the right time or continually use them. Look at opiates, they are plant defense system chemistry, so is the caffeine in coffee and the thc in pot. Our ancestors knew these properties passing them on from generation to generation, but with woman's lib, some of this was lost and also we got too dependent on the medical industry thinking they would tell us this stuff so we did not get sick. That would be counterproductive to their pocket books. We were told years ago by an instructor in my first real doctor class, which I went to one time and quit because of what was being said, something like this. "don't feel guilty of charging people for your services, if they are dumb enough to eat the wrong foods, they are dumb enough to pay for it"
Most of what I am saying has been known for over sixty years, this is old knowledge. The thing is that it is now accessable to us to look for. When I started to study this kind of stuff I thought I was misinterpreting evidence, a hundred thousand medical research articles later, I am finally convinced of the realness of what is going on. Our cravings have been hijacked so we do not crave antidotes or companion food chemistry at the right time. The subconscious of the young are not being taught of the properties of certain foods, their enzyme system, immune system, and subconscious cannot tell what is wrong, they get a craving and just keep eating and they cannot neutralize bad metabolic chemistry because they have not been fed the right foods to learn. In moderation and matching their ancestors diet.
I was Buffaloed for years, believing in our FDA and medical experts. A metabolic specialist might know more than I do about some things, but hasn't got the time to investigate the food processing industry and changing agricultural practices going on these days.
I have known quite a few doctors, they believed they were helping people, but were just treating symptoms. Those symptoms can come from many causes and identifying the cause is hard. A lot of doctors do not know how to advise people how to fix the problem with diet. There are so many chemicals in plants and one of those chemicals can benefit a person while another can harm them. A doctor might say for you to start eating more veggies, but will not tell you what kind, that is because they are somewhat aware that there might be problems if you eat them and they do not want to hurt you either. They have high expenses, they need to pay for everything and keep people working and making a living in their trade so the tests and technology is available.
I cannot judge, I can see that there are two sides to a coin and many types of coins which have different properties. Most doctors are not bad, in fact they are nice people but are in a bad world. You guys in different countries with socialized medicine have a benefit, the doctor is not responsible for keeping people employed, they can cure you right away without torturing you by having scopes stuck up your butt even when there is no evidence of a problem with needing it done. Here in America they need to pay for those people to work which means their services have to be prescribed. A doctor is also trained to give medicines. They are busy and do not have time to study natural solutions. In fact most are discouraged from even suggesting it, there are medicines for that. When everyone needs medicines and the government controls the controling agencies, then they have power over us.
A little bit of rant at the end. If a person believes they are doing good, they will not accept what someone says that makes them feel bad about themselves or look bad by others. I am not cutting down anyone, only explaining why some people will not believe in something no matter what. What I have to teach is not all correct, and some people will always need medicines to fix things, sometimes a bit of liver damage destroys an enzyme or partial kidney failure can make you pee out things you need or not pee out what you need to pee out.
