Yes, you read that right, I know.. I laughed too.. But in all seriousness what a horrible series of events for this family to go through. The police are even taking it seriously, so its safe to say this was a serious situation.
A mother and her son were forced to move out of their home after a campaign of terror by a 'poltergeist'.
Police officers attended a house in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, on August 8 and 9, following reports of disturbances at the property.
While at the home, they reportedly witnessed paranormal activity including clothes flying across the room, flickering lights and even a 'levitating Chihuahua'.
The woman and her teenage son living at the property are described as 'devoutly Catholic'.
They suffered through a violent two-day ordeal at their home and have since moved out to live with relatives.
The family called the police for help but because 'no crime has been established', officers decided to seek help from the Catholic Church.
A priest has reportedly performed a 'blessing' at the property.
A police source told the Daily Record: 'The officers attended expecting it to be a mental health issue but they witnessed the lights going off, clothes flying across the room and the dog sitting on top of the hedge.
'The officers called their superiors who also attended thinking the cops were perhaps being a bit silly but it's being taken very seriously.
'The fact it was witnessed by our officers has lent itself to a very different but active inquiry.'
No one has been injured at the property but police are following several lines of inquiry, including looking into the history of the family and the property.
A spokesman for Police Scotland told MailOnline: 'On August 8 and 9, police attended a house on Stonelaw Road in Rutherglen. There was no evidence of criminality. Advice and guidance was given to the family.'
